Once upon a time there was a five year old little girl who wanted a toy so badly. She asked Santa for it, but the elves had made so many they didn't want to make anymore, so the little girl didn't get one for Christmas. Instead she got twin Cabbage Patch premies. The next year the little girl, we'll call her Heidi, again asked for this toy. However, Santa's elves had forgotten how to make them. SO even though the little girl named Heidi asked for one for the last time when she was seven she never got one. Twenty years after Heidi asked Santa for a Hug-a-Bunch her brother in law, Scott, got one for her off E-bay. Heidi literally cried when she opened it. Scott had remembered for 3 years! Scott and Santa start with the same letter for good reason.
This story is especially poignant for the fact that Marcus wanted a bat mobile. I had already finished shopping for him, but he was sure for two months that Santa was bringing him his bat mobile and batman. This hug-a-bunch story kept coming back to me and I finally decided to exchange several items to make his dream a reality. Marcus opened both a bat mobile and batman on Christmas morning. (Now, I don't have to try and find one next year or in twenty years.)
I got my final grades back and was disappointed. I worked harder than I ever had and got the worst grades that I ever have. It is odd that I graduate in May after so long of working towards my degree. I am so ready, but scared. I have no idea where I will be in 6 months. Andy is applying to graduate schools and will have no job in a week.
Life is interesting. I hope you guys all had a great Christmas and your first day of Hanukkah (today) is even better.
