Happy

My calling in young women's makes me happy. I enjoy getting to know each of my Beehives and am looking forward to Girl's Camp in 2 weeks. I am happy that I have a few more weeks with my girls before I change wards. I already know our new ward a bit, but I will miss my class and calling when I move.

Anneke's projects

I am happy today because I have a great husband that works two jobs so that I can be at home with my children. He is tired most of the weekend because of working the graveyard shift. Still, he tries to make me happy and I am.

I have been bothered by all that Anneke's teachers have her do at home, because they don't do much at school. Lately I have decided to embrace it and have fun with it. Here are two of the latest projects. For the "All About Me" poster the parents were supposed to draw a picture of the child. Then the child was supposed to decorate the rest with things they liked and didn't like. Andy tried hard to draw a good picture of Anneke, but you can't capture the sparkle in her eyes or her mischievous grin.
This is the colored self portrait. I was at the dentist and didn't get one of her completed poster. She had things like macaroni and cheese, pink, princesses, books, olives, etc. on there.
The kids were told to draw a picture of a zoo animal or zebra. I thought it would be fun to create a zoo diorama. Anneke and Marcus both got into it and the result is pretty fun.You can't see the zookeeper Marcus drew, but he even had keys on a chain from his belt. Talk about attention to detail. Anneke drew that big black monkey hanging in the tree. (She wanted me to add that.)

I hope...

I am happy because this time tomorrow I will be mostly moved into my new apartment and not have to worry about it again for a while.
I hope that...
...I won't have to move again for a while. (It's moving day, AGAIN!)
...I will always enjoy the sound of my children calling me Mommy (Marcus), Mom (Anneke) or Momma (Luke).
...my heart will continue to skip a beat when I know my husband is near.
...I can always cry over movies and books that touch me.
...I will never say "I love you" unless I mean it.
...I remember the answers I have learned and never have to repeat the questions.
...I don't try to live through my children.
...I can respect my children's decisions.
...I can continue to support my husband come what may.
...I never weigh over 200 pounds.
...I won't get sucked into reality TV.
...Marcus will always be as optimistic and happy as he is now.
...Anneke will always have the imagination and love of music she does now.
...Luke will let me hold him and snuggle him for a while still.
...Andy knows how grateful I am to have him in my life.
...the decisions I make are the right ones.
...I never lose sight of who I am.
...I can enjoy each moment I have and look back without regret.

Kids and a tag

What do you think? How did you react? I am just wondering because I know what i was thinking, but sometimes I wonder...

Melissa tagged me. For 8 days in a row I have to blog about something that makes me happy.I am going to tag Carianne, Mom, Pam, Elise, Marisa, Andy, Annemarie and Sara. It is a good way to look at the bright side. Also, no repeating the same thing.

Today, it is my "babies", Marcus O. and Luke that make me happy. I love that 3 days a week I have twins. It is so fun to watch them and see them grow.

Harley Davidson Cafe

I mentioned that we were going to this restaurant to celebrate Andy's birthday. I didn't expect much, and it was still disappointing. The food was bland and it made me physically sick to eat it. So, while I don't recommend it, I am glad we know. The kids enjoyed themselves and there were neat things to look at.
This is all made of chains.
Andy thought this was amazing. (Ironically he took no pictures of the motorcycles.)
Birthday boy and munchkin in front of Elvis's motorcycle.
Niki Sue with her cafe pin (also in front of Elvis bike.)
On the way back to our car (We parked at the MGM Grande because it is easier to get there and home.) we saw these two characters. After a long internal debate our boy finally asked for a picture with them. (Anneke and Luke were nervous.) There is more of a story here, but it is not mine to tell and you may never know. :)

Being Old

Friday we left in plenty of time to get to Ephraim and see some of the Scandinavian Festival. However, we had a flat tire on the freeway in North Las Vegas and ended up leaving 3 hours later than expected. We had the great idea of having a picnic lunch on the way, but ended up having a "picnic" in the car instead. At least we didn't have to stop, though. We arrived about an hour before graduation.

I saw a lot of old friends and caught up with a few. I walked in the rainy weather without a coat. I reminisced with my husband and then we turned around Saturday morning and came home.
Zack always strikes me as too serious, so I like this picture of my brother-in-law. (Zackary is the one on the left.)
This is how boys show love?
The happy grad.
I asked for a picture with the five of us. Apparently 5+3=5. (Not a bad pic of me.)
All too soon, my dear.
Trying to be helpful I convinced Zack to leave his diploma cover with me so he could get pictures unhindered by an awkward rectangle. Luke decided to chew on it. (That was odd because he hasn't done it in a while. You can see his attraction to said cover in the group shot above.) Rather than have baby molar marks on it I gave it to my MIL. Now, I love my mother-in-law, but she can be scattered. When we got back to the house she had no idea where the diploma cover was or any recollection that I gave it to her. I felt horrible. Helpful Heidi was not so helpful. I apologized to Zack, but he didn't really believe me that it was lost. "I didn't think you would do that." Luckily it was found and it all ended happily. *Sigh* I had better keep track of my responsibilities on my own next time.

Memory Monday - Meet Puh and Bank

Memory Monday is a mix of old, new and memories to come.
I think that it is so cute when kids are attached to things. I had my pink silky blankets and "Tedsome" my white teddy bear, spelled off occasionally by Little Foot before Land Before Time became annoying. My nephew, Connor, has a blanket that he needs to go to sleep, he calls it "D".

I tried everything to get Marcus and Anneke to have something. I tried silky material, soft stuffed animals, blankets, etc. to help them sleep easier and have a way to comfort themselves. It didn't work. My hair was the favorite comfort object. I had to lay with Marcus until he was 5 to get him to sleep!

With Luke, I didn't have to try as hard as I thought. When he was less than a month old he got a big puppy for Christmas from the Pfiester's. Since then it has been near him as he slept. Now, he won't sleep without "Puh" and even took it to his Uncle's graduation on Friday. Last summer the flannel Veggie Tales blanket my little sister, Aunt Tummy, made him was too hot, so we laid that down and he slept on it covered by a yellow and blue dotted blanket. The latter, is a blanket I had when I was little that I named "Dottie". Anneke uses my pink "silky" blanket and calls it her "Princess blanket". Both of these blankets are falling apart. Both blankets have been loved a lot already and may actually be loved to death. Luke cannot sleep without his "Puh" or "Bank"s. Apparently, that is not full proof when away from home for the night, though.

Some things I learned this weekend...

  • A flat tire can make you 3 hours behind schedule and cost a lot to fix.
  • Barnes and Noble is a great place to pass the time, except you find A LOT of books you want to buy.
  • You should always bring a jacket or sweater to Utah even if it is in the 100's where you live.
  • Mascara will run when walking in drizzle.
  • I am old. (I watched the children I student taught graduate (Maggie Dalene and Tyler Clark) and one I babysat (Elizabeth Nielson)).
  • People don't change that much. If they were stuck up in high school, they pretty much still are. (Evan Thompson).
  • No matter how long it has been since you have seen an old friend you still want to know how they are and you mean it. (Shannon Clark McCaul and Christa Hampton Anderson).
  • Luke still doesn't sleep well away from home.
  • Mom gets about 2 1/2 hours of sleep because the baby takes up a lot of space in the bed.
  • People say I haven't changed, but others didn't recognize me. (Jay Baker, Jeff Olsen, Daniel Christensen)
  • Scandinavian Festival is Friday and Saturday, NOT Memorial Day.
  • Sitting at the beginning of the parade route you get a lot of candy.
  • Pollie's closes at 9:00pm which is a stupid time for a college town, but especially for the weekend. (It's not like they have to travel far to go home.)
  • "Where's your husband?" is not a safe question to ask even if it is to your former Relief Society president of the married ward.
  • It is sad to go back to Sanpete and see all the people that never left.
  • There are many people I will probably never see again in this life, though I want to.

Caspian Luke

Sometimes I have to brag about my cute boy. He is growing so fast. I have some fun ones on my phone. However, I can't figure out how to get them off. These are the latest in my baby's life.
He loves to get on our table and dance. He stopped when the camera was turned on.
Happy boy on our hike.
See, he is Super Baby!
All of the sudden he loves hats. Dad was not very thrilled with the Minnie Mouse choice.
Mostly, Caspian makes me smile. He likes things a certain way and will fix things to fit that. Almost 18 months old and ready for nursery! Can you believe it?

Evie Lee

This is fuzzy picture, but she is still cute.
Happy Birthday Evie Lee!
We love you and miss you.

The gifts

Marcus gave Andy Lego Batman for the Wii. Andy has been playing it a lot trying to unlock everything. This decreases the frustration when playing with a more inexperienced person, and plus it is a good excuse. (I am impressed with how many villains they got in, even Man-Bat.)
Luke is trying to take back his gift.
Gourmet meal of pizza for dinner.
Anneke gave her dad a belt buckle. She wanted to get him a Wolverine or Ironman one, but they really don't exist. So, we chose this one. I got him a book, but he is reading so many right now I am not sure when he will get to it. It is the last book in the Percy Jackson series. Tonight we are going to the Harley Davidson Cafe for dinner. If the pictures are worth it I will post them later. Tomorrow we are heading to Sanpete for Andy's little brother's graduation.

Andy's birthday according to his children

Anneke woke up Luke at about 6am this morning. She was trying to fing all the birthday books in honor of her dad. She knew that Carl's Birthday was on Luke's shelf. She had already collected Clifford's Birthday and Mickey's birthday.
Anneke has decided to tell people "Today is Andy's birthday". When I asked her why, she told me that he wasn't their daddy. Luke thinks that the gift he gave Andy is his. (He gave him a bag of mini 3 Musketeers.) Marcus is excited to use his dad's present, too. (He gave him Lego Batman for the Wii.) Well, happy birthday anyway. (I will post pictures and such later after we open all the presents and eat cheesecake.)

Memory Monday - My husband

In honor of my husband getting so old (he turns 30 on Wednesday!) I am doing my blog about him. 30 things you may not know about him. My sisters are rolling their eyes and thinking I don't like him all that much anyway, why would I want to read 30 things about him? Well, this is my blog...
1. He only likes to write in black ink. We have very few pens with blue ink in our home.
2. He will not grade in red ink. He thinks it is too harsh. Currently he is using a green pen.
3. He doesn't like berries, especially strawberries. They taste bitter to him.
4. He actually likes liver.
5. Along with Spanish and English he knows some French and Old English. He might even learn some Welsh or German to go along with his studies.
6. He is half Dutch and proud of it. (Netherlands)
7. He is the oldest of 6 boys. 20 years older than his youngest brother.
8. He got his name in the hospital when he was born. The story I heard was that his parents went through a baby book and named him the first name they agreed upon.
9. His middle name is his father's name and the same as my sister's husbands middle name, Robert.
10. I wanted to name my son Andrew since I was very small, but Andy did not want a junior. So, I settled for it being a middle name.
11. He has over 50 first cousins.
12. He has screws in his jaw that cost over $100 a piece.
13. He has wanted a motorcycle since he read The Mouse and the Motorcycle by Beverly Cleary when he was small.
14. He was a theatre major before English. He played Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet. His favorite role was Jesus Christ in the Mormon Miracle Pageant, though.
15. He gets very sad when he has to fail a student. He takes it personally somehow. (Halfway, hang in there.)
16. He did not have glasses when we got engaged. He got them a month before we got married.
17. His favorite calling in the church is with the youth.
18. He has had many jobs from making pizza, making donuts to packing delivery trucks to writing informative road markers for state parks.
19. He studied at Oxford in England.
20. His goal was to receive each of his degrees from different places. So far, so good. Associates from Snow College (Ephraim, Utah), Bachelors from Southern Utah University (Cedar City, Utah) and Masters from University of Colorado at Boulder. Soon PhD from UNLV.
21. He wanted to work security because he could do that while going to school. He didn't expect it to be the temple, but is glad that it is.
22. He loves fantasy and sci-fi.
23. His favorite book growing up was "Ender's Game" by Orson Scott Card. (Partly because the boy's name was Andrew and he wanted to be more like him instead of like himself.)
24. He was picked on a lot as a kid. He even accidently hurt a kid when they ganged up on him.
25. He collects belt buckles.
26. He gets nostalgic for things. He has watched G.I. Joe and Thundercats with our kids.
27. He is very picky about what we name our children. We had to agree on names before we got married. (We only used one. But, used pieces of others.)
28. Still tries to take care of his younger brothers and worries about his family.
29. He has some amazing story and book ideas, but no time to expand them on paper.
30. He is tall, but you don't really think about it once you get to know him. It is not what defines who he is.
Happy 30th Birthday, Andrew Robert Bahlmann!

Talents and such

I love this because it incorporates the Las Vegas temple into the theme.
Today I sang in church for the first time in a very long time. I even sang a solo. It was only a sentence, but it started the song. I feel that it went pretty well. I organized the group and found the song. It was for my Individual Worth project for Personal Progress. The song I chose is one by Sally DeFord because she is awesome. The song reflects the church wide youth theme for the year. If you want to see the sheet music or just hear it, click on the link. The song is called A Believer's Prayer.

I had to make treats for the fireside tonight. I had one egg. I made chocolate chip cookies. My plan was to make 3 or 4 different things, but one egg doesn't stretch far. (I couldn't get more because Andy had to car at work until 11:30pm last night and today is the Sabbath.) I made caramel corn, but forgot the baking soda. We'll see how that goes. My offerings are minimal, but I hope well received.

Movie Reviews

I don't watch a lot of movies except what we own. So, the fact that I have been to the theatre twice and rented 2 movies in the past month is amazing for me. Here is what we/I saw and what I thought if you are interested.

Bride Wars - I really like both Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway, but they have been off lately. I was leery, but not disappointed. It was a nice movie. I did not like what they did with "Bright" from Everwood. :) But, I liked that they showed friendship and love and a whole lot of other emotions. I give it a B-.

Fireproof - So, we finally got around to watching this after several people recommended it. Acting was so bad. It was hard to get over that. Also, they didn't show enough hardship between the couple to set it up really well. Once you got into it the story was moving and it just felt real and good. I would watch it again and am very interested in the Love Dare now. (I think that is what he called it.) Kirk Cameron is still that weird kid from Growing Pains, though. I would recommend watching it. B-

Taken - Heavy on action and violence. I didn't feel like there was much story line, either. I am glad I watched it, but don't want to watch it again. Very frustrated we used our free movie tickets on it and it came out on DVD the next week. C

Star Trek - The best had to be last. I am not a Trekkie, but I loved it. I do not say that...ever...that I can think of. The movie was so fun. It brought back childhood memories. (Seriously, Mom, take Dad. You have to watch it on the big screen.) It had a good story line and it moved right along. They had fun inside jokes and nods, but they were not distracting. I was impressed how all these actors were the characters I know and love. (Chekov and Scottie are still my favorites.) They kept the feeling of the original Star Treks, but moved it up a notch. Right from the beginning it had me on an emotional ride. I hope they do more Star Trek movies with these actors. Also, I thought it was interesting that the lead actors real name is Chris Pine and they have a character Christopher Pike. Also also, the best role Winona Ryder has done by far. Hee Hee! A+

Mom and Me pictures

My friend, Stacie, posted this on her blog. I hope that it helps each of you reflect. Here's to being a mom.
"Many scrapbookers knew Aleida Franklin. She was a wonderful wife and mother and a brilliant artist. I didn't know Aleida personally, but she taught me something I will never forget.
She emailed me last year to tell me she loved my blog and to ask if I like my short hair-cut. This lead to a series of emails which eventually led me to remark that I really loved how often she posted pictures of herself with her children on her blog. And she replied to me, "Have you ever seen a photograph of your own mother and thought to yourself how fat she looked? Or how she wasn't wearing make-up? Or wasn't dressed in a glamorous outfit?" Of course my answer was no.
She then responded with saying that she made it a goal to take a picture of herself with her children at least once every month. And that to use excuses about how we look, as women, is ridiculous, since our children will never care what we looked like, but only that we had physical evidence of the bond between mother and child. Aleida tragically and unexpectedly passed away last September, leaving 2 small children and a grieving husband. After she passed I thought of how those children must feel to have those precious photographs.
I have made it my personal goal to follow her wise suggestion and I now take photos of myself with my children....double chins, make-up free, bed-head and all."
So, I am going to try and do this. I know I would love more pictures of my mom when I was younger. Life is short, so make it count.

Camping out for Mothers Day

I apologize that this blog is a bit picture heavy, but a picture says a thousand words.
As a reward for the no eating out month we decided to go camping, not realizing that it was Mother's Day weekend. Andy has to work a lot lately, so we had to go Saturday to Sunday. (We have a late church and made it home by 9am, anyway.)
Mount Charleston was beautiful and very cool. Anneke said she was "freezing".
My children need to get outside or they go crazy. They loved being able to climb, run, scream, etc.
Luke doesn't like being away from home. He loved the water, but got soaked and then cold and then miserable. I love this picture, though.
It was literally freezing the night we camped and Luke slept with us. (We left a bag of ice out that did not melt overnight.) We were on a slope and kept sliding into Andy. At 5:00am we gave up and got up. A fire did little to break the chill. We broke camp and were gone by 8:00am.
My wonderful children gave me some great gifts. The big card is from Anneke. I got a Webkinz cardinal I named Miss Scarlet, a new little Critter book and a Pegasus broach from Marcus. (click to view a larger image, the jewelry is amazing.) Anneke wanted to get me a stuffed Little Critter mom, but couldn't find one. It would have been very appropriate though.
The reasons I get to celebrate this day are surrounding me. Love it!

Memory Monday - Mothers

Taken December 2006, my parents with their 6 grandchildren. (Now there are 3 more)
Can you believe we are all moms? Each one amazing in turn.
Carianne - Mom of Carlye (8), Nathanael (6), Noah (4)
Heather - Mom of Bella (6), Evie (2);
Heidi - Mom of Marcus (7), Anneke (4) and Caspian Luke (18 months);
Pamela - Mom of Dutch (10 months)
Yesterday was a day to honor mothers and I find that odd. It is nice, but I wish everyday was "Mother's Day" and it probably should be. I will blog about my day tomorrow. I have other obligations today. Mother's day remembered:
*We would get our mom 4 carnations, each one representing us. Carianne's - yellow, mine - red, Pam's - white and Heather's - blue (sprayed to be that color).
*We tried very hard to make breakfast in bed for my mom every year. I don't remember what we made, but I remember we brought it to her on our Cabbage Patch trays.
*My dad tried extra hard to make the day special for my mom.
*Popi made sure to honor the mothers he loved. That stood out to me.
*In church my mom always got tasty food and I couldn't wait to be a mom.
*My first Mother's Day was very nice. (check out Andy's blog.) I had a 4 month old and the previous year I spent crying and upset. I was pregnant and didn't know it, though.
*It is fun to see what the kids will get me. One year Marcus got me an electric candle because he knew I would love it. (and I did.)
*We never take Mommy/daughter pictures. We have a bunch of us with Dad, but none with us and our mom. We really need to fix that.

I am so grateful to all the moms in my life. I turn to each of them for different things and I am so glad that I have people to turn to and help me. I love that my mom is there to listen and take care of me. I wish she wasn't so camera shy. Someday I will get a good picture of her and post it for all to see. For now, the results are as you see.

We made it!

Today marks the end of our month without eating out. It was great! Anneke asked if we can eat out tomorrow night. Luckily we are having the missionaries over. We are going camping this weekend and on Sunday we never eat out, so it will be longer than a month. Yea us! I will take pictures and post, I hope.

Luke is so funny. He is talking more and more. He finally said, "Mama", and now sometimes says it over and over for about a minute. He also says "dow" for getting down from his chair and being picked up. He says, "Puh" for puppy or any animal that might be a dog. He says "rawr" for anything that makes him nervous. "Mahk" is Marcus and "KahKah" is Anneke. I think that is it for now. I just wanted to share before I forgot. He is so sweet!

In other news I managed to lose all my charges/babysittees/whatever you call them in less than 2 weeks. I hope something turns out so it isn't too stressful for us financially.

Book Review

I love to read these book reviews. If you haven't gone there, seriously, check it out. It is so fun to read. I read them all one night when I couldn't sleep. It has given me fun books to look for. Last week they reviewed Baby Mouse books. There are 10 in the series so far. They looked like Anneke would really enjoy them. They are graphic novels and all black, white and pink. I bought the first two and we love them. Anneke "reads" them on her own. The first one was my favorite of the two. Baby mouse realizes that it is okay to be you and that is the most important thing. I think my niece Carlye would like them, but they would take her about 1/2 an hour to read. Even boys enjoy them, despite the pink. Andy was excited to see graphic novels for younger kids, but was disappointed with the second book, which he read first. (I think he liked the first one better.)
I had never read these books. My oldest sister was always reading them or would not let me when we were growing up. When she found out I had never read them last December for my birthday and Christmas she got me the whole set of "Anne" books. With all sorts of other things getting in the way I finally finished the first one.

The most distracting thing was how well they stuck to the book for the movie. The characterization was perfect and now I really want to watch them, which I do not own. I loved the book. I have so many quotes from it that I want to save or cross-stitch or something. It left me feeling happy and ready to read the rest. Unfortunately, I packed the other 7 books and now I can't read them for a while. Also, Anne has the same initials as Anneke. Anne Shirley Blythe. Hee! Hee! I hope we don't have hair dying and near drownings in our future. (Instead we had hair cutting and near drownings in the past...) I recommend the book, definitely. Even my husband enjoyed it when he had to read it for class one year. It is a great feel good book and not too heavy, but thought provoking.

Just FYI

For anyone who was wondering, I am not pregnant. I have had a lot of stressful things going on right now, though. I have a dental appointment and those cause me major anxiety. We are moving, again! That will happen either the end of this month or the beginning of June. Andy's birthday in in a couple of weeks and I have no idea what to get him. My 10 year high school reunion in the end of May. And on and on... You may hear more about these things, but maybe not. Just know I may not be posting a lot in the next little while.

My Saturday plus Memory Monday - Cannon Family

When I was younger we had a family that was so close to us we called the parents Aunt Debbie, and Uncle Curt. There oldest daughter was my best friend from the time we were tiny until probably I was 8 or 9. Elise and I found each other again because she knew one of my friends from high school. Hey, thanks Anna! (Start humming "It's a Small World" if you like.) On Saturday I got to see the family again at Kirsten's wedding reception and it brought back a bunch of memories.

*I kept expecting to see Uncle Curt with a Banjo or holding a baby (ie Megan). He did tell me that he taught Megan how to play the banjo and they played at her reception. According to him, Kirsten hates banjo music, so there was none at hers. ;)
*I remember being jealous of Elise that she got a baby sister and I really wanted one.
*Uncle Curt called me "Heidi-Ho" and my little sister "Pamelove".
*I thought that Uncle Curt was my mom's brother because then my grandparents would have 2 girls and 2 boys. I was crushed when I found out we were not related.
*On the day of my baptism I had Katie and Elise in my tree house and we were discussing being white like a piece of paper.
*I remember their exchange student Sophie. She seemed so glamorous to me.
*I heard Aunt Debbie laugh and it was like being in my grandparents house in San Antonio. It was so fun to hear it again.
*I don't remember being that much taller than Elise. It didn't help that I was in slight heels and she was not.

Anneke loved Kirsten's dress. She kept admiring it. Her favorite part was the cake, though. She kept walking over to look at it. I was afraid with her accident prone nature she would trip over the table cloth and the cake would come crashing down. Marcus enjoyed the food and filling the small basket with candy. It was very fun and I was very glad I could go. They send their love in your directions. I hope to get together with Elise, but she is one busy girl no matter where she is.

My favorite part was that Uncle Curt recognized me as a Bailey girl and figured out I was Heidi. (He said I was the third or fourth but couldn't be Pammy so I must be Heidi.) Then, he tried to guess what Andy was getting his PhD in. He said my husband looks like a ward clerk and he would guess Engineering as a major. When Andy told him "no", Curt said, "Well, I know it's not English." I laughed so hard. Afterwards Andy said that the Cannon family has a lot of personality. I have to agree! It's nice to have "family".

Anneke's First talk

Today in church Anneke gave her first talk. Andy and I try to let our children dictate their talks as much as possible. Since the theme for the month is something like Baptism and Confirmation are ordinances that bless my family this is what came after I asked Anneke what she thought of when she heard the word baptism.
I loved helping her say it. She said the first line really loud. I am not sure what scared her, the volume of her voice or the laughter of the other children, but after that she was shy and quieter. Still, she did really well I think.

CPS

On Wednesday Child Protective Services is coming to my house. They are coming to see the girls I watch away from their parents and in the care they are getting from week to week outside of their homes. (Andy says I need to link it to my former post.) I am so freaked out by that. I am not at all certified to have child care in my home, but it is clean. What are they going to look for? Now, Monday and Tuesday I am going to super clean my house. Seriously, there is no rational reason to be worried, but I am. I need more worry in my life, too, right?

Ideas

So, the Beehives are in charge of the joint boy and girl activity in two weeks. They thought doing a Mormon version of Battle of the Sexes would be fun. However, that means that as leaders we are coming up with the questions and stuff. We have a little time, but I am having an easier time coming up with Wild cards. Example:
Female - Find a modest prom dress. Move ahead 2 spaces.
Male - Go to 7-11 instead of Priesthood. Go back 3 spaces.
I don't want to make the questions too hard, but I don't want to underestimate the youth either. Hmmm...Any suggestions?
