Hail Storm
Today I found out that one of the girls in our ward is Liz Blauer's cousin. For those who don't know her, she was my high school best friend and the reason that Andy and I are together. I gave Jessica a mission to get me Liz's address and phone number by the end of the summer.
I still am not working. I apparently have not cleared the background check yet. It is not happy and we are getting worried about survival.
I have not heard from any of you lately, so I hope all is well at USF. The Shakespearean Festival here leaves much to be desired. No equity, and no real funding. It looks like it is pretty much volunteer outside of acting and directing. Still, we will try to see a play. Since "As You Like It" is my favorite, I am hoping for that one.

Soooo Long
We figured out a solution to Anneke not sleeping. It is working out pretty well. Right now she is asleep in Marcus's bed. She does whatever he does anyway, so he is sleeping and so is she.
You guys might appreciate this. There is a town here called Nederlands. In this town they have a festival called "The Frozen Dead Guy Festival". Apparently a man there was frozen by his son when he died, but his son got deported and had to leave the frozen man behind. Now it is a silly festival with coffin races and the like.
Is it safe to assume that I won't be hearing from any of you until the end of the summer?

It's So Hot
I can't believe how hot it is here. Of course, we are on the third floor with no AC. But, if feels like July here with temperatures reaching over 90. Sometimes it is cooler outside than in our apartment oddly enough.
I find out tomorrow if I get the job I wanted at the school. It has been quite the journey to this point. I am not sure who I was or where I went, but since I found out about the move to Colorado, I have not been myself. Tuesday night I came to a self realization and cried. After having a good cry yesterday was better and I am happy again.
Anneke is still not sleeping and causing us grief. I am not sure what to do about it. I'm at my wits end. Marcus is enjoying it. He adjusts better than everyone else all the time. He of course already has friends to play with. Anneke is the only girl.
I miss USF and was surprised to hear everyone that was returning. Holly, are you doing House Management again? I can't believe how much has happened in a year.
We have gone to two museums. One was a children's museum with dress ups and a lot of interactive things. The other was the University museum and it had dinosaur eggs that fascinated the children. We have played in the river and walked all over town. There is a grocery store here that has a (metallic) horse ride for a penny! We have gone to story hours and tried to get set up with all the things you don't think about until you get here. We got Colorado plates for our car yesterday and need to get drivers licenses soon. We are working on insurance and registering for the fall, next. Anneke calls the many pigeons we have around "chickens". One landed near her the other day and now she is scared of them.
